Virtual Impact have secured a spot at the ESWC finals after beating Wolf 2-1 in the grand final of the Indian qualifier (16-10 on de_dust2, 14-16 on de_inferno, 16-13 on de_nuke). Held at the LXG Gaming Café, in Bangalore, the Indian national finals featured the top four teams from the online stage plus Team Wolf and Team G5, both of whom were invited by the organisation. After attending ESL One Cologne, for which they hired Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović as a coach, Wolf were highly expected to win the event, but they fell short against Virtual Impact in the final in a close three-map contest.
Featuring Krishna "kriSSh" Salecha, a former ATE Gaming member, Virtual Impact came out the brighter and took the lead in the series following a 16-10 victory on de_dust2. Wolf then equalised after picking up a 16-14 win on de_inferno, but the Indian/Mongolian mixture ran out 16-13 victors on de_nuke to qualify for the French event.
